Employment Services include community employment, Job Crews, janitorial/housekeeping/custodial work at COF and community sites, shredding, front office work, and other jobs that are being developed.

Job readiness training is provided in areas such as attire appropriate in the workplace, displaying positive employee behaviors, learning how to use a time clock, how to be on time, how to follow through with assigned job tasks, completing multiple task steps, etc.

Basic fundament of COF is to support the individuals in being not only service recipients but also service providers.  Volunteer opportunities are provided within Employment Services.  Some volunteer employment opportunities have include: working at Prairie Paws Animal Shelter (video); volunteering to deliver Meals on Wheels; volunteering to service at local service associations; sorting commodities for ECKAN and Waverly food distributions, etc.

Volunteer activities enhance job skills, provide exposure to multiple community agencies/potential work sites, and increases each volunteer's self-esteem.

If you have a job opening or volunteer opportunities, please contact Craig Evans, Day Services Manager.
